Music News

ICHILLIN’

DEMIGOD

ICHILLIN wants to tell you a little somethin’ in their new digital single “DEMIGOD”.  This hip-hop track features aggressive spoken lyrics, while the funky instrumentals use intense percussion, heavy bass, and cinematic strings.  The MV shows the group running a fried chicken delivery restaurant.

Moon Byul

Think About

MAMAMOO’s Moon Byul is hoping to meet up in her dreams in her new pre-release single “Think About”.  This upbeat retro pop track has flavors of disco and upbeat dance pop.  The vocal beat has an interesting lag that feels like barely harnessed energy, while the chorus brings in bouyant strings that float through.  The quirky MV filmed in a vertical aspect ratio, shows the singer dancing under a sparkling disco ball.

Billie

DOMINO ~ butterfly effect

Billie is having de ja vu in their new single “DOMINO~butterfly effect”.  This synth pop track features bright synth and percussion and a wide vocal range.  This allows the group to show off their lower ranges before building into the light, airy higher ranges.  The MV continues to draw on the group’s interest in supernatural themes, as they use things like tarot cards and hypnosis to enchant their audience, while they use a pastel color pallette and fairy-like costuming to weave their spell.

DK

LTNS

It’s been awhile for iKON’s DK in his new pre-release single “LTNS”.  This murky pop rock track uses heavy vocal effects, atmospheric synths, and a heavy rock beat to create a hazy, otherworldly feel.  The MV strengthens this theme, as we see the artist lost in dreams of a past relationship.  His past lover is played by Park Na Eon, who appeared on the reality dating show “EXchange 2”.

P1Harmony

Killin’ It

The media is roaring after P1Harmony in their new single “Killin’ It”.  This gutsy hip-hop track focuses on swag and attitude, with squeaky instrumentals and spoken rap lyrics that have a  rhythm bordering on melody.  The song is full of proud energy and vocal flexing.  The MV shows the members getting makeovers to transform into the tough superstars they profess to be.
