The Story
Lured by a string of serial murders and an anonymous e-mail, an intelligent profiler comes back to Korea after years abroad. But hoping to find an answer to the current mysterious deaths is not his only motivation. There seems to be some connection to his own past and a killer who left an indelible mark on his life. Teaming up with local police detectives, they will do their best to find justice for the many people who have lost their lives because of one deranged criminal.
Should I Watch
With an abundance of darker crime dramas these days, you don’t need to dig into past dramas to get your fix, but I was drawn by this talented cast and I’m glad I was. As a crime drama with a psychological twist that also offers a bit of romance and even hints of humor, this drama is great for those who appreciated a wide range of genres. Putting an emphasis on the psychological aspects of serial killers means that you shouldn’t expect a fast moving, high energy kind of show. “I Remember You” moves along slowly but digs deep. This drama may be 6 years old, but it is chock full of familiar faces that drama fans will immediately recognize and the chemistry between these characters is great from bromance to sweet love. Taking the time to dive into some complex theories on ideas like nature vs. nurture make this drama thought-provoking and intriguing. I give “I Remember You” an 8 out of 10 ramen.
