The Story

Slowly he uncovers a web of corruption involving some of the most powerful men in the country and vows to get revenge against those who are responsible.
My Personal Thoughts and Ratings
‘The Manipulated’ is an exciting, gritty crime revenge drama. The cinematography is slick and intense and the all-star cast give impressive performances. Ji Chang Wook shines in this action-heavy role and Do Kyung Soo makes a chilling villain. The story and its characters are complex and intriguing. The action scenes are well-done and the revenge story has you rooting for the lead all the way to the end.
But the plot is pretty far-fetched at times and the drama as a whole is raw and violent. If you aren’t a fan of darker dramas, this one is probably not a good choice for you. There is a random plot line in the middle that some felt interrupted the flow of the overall story. But, if you want a big budget, high-intensity action drama, this one is thrilling and satisfying. I give ‘The Manipulated’ a 9 out of 10 ramen.
