Military News
Sungjin
DAY6’s Sungjin was discharged from the military on September 6th. In his first fan interaction, he posted to his Twitter account to announce he had started an Instagram page. For the band’s anniversary on September 7th, Sungjin will be meeting with fans while his bandmates are all still serving their military time. Fans will be thrilled with the opportunity to greet him personally. Welcome home Sunjin.
Casting News
Joo Ji Hoon, Han Hyo Joo, Lee Hee Joon, Lee Moo Saeng, and Park Ji Yeon
Joo Ji Hoon, Han Hyo Joo, Lee Hee Joon, Lee Moo Saeng, and Park Ji Yeon will be starring together in the upcoming sci-fi drama “Dominant Species”. The story follows the successful CEO of BF a company that uses cell-cultivation to create edible meat products without using live animals. “Dominant Species” will air some time next year.
Lee Sun Gyun and Moon Chae Won
Lee Sun Gyun and Moon Chae Won will be starring in the upcoming financial drama “Beopjjeon”. A small business owner and money trader decides to take on a money cartel that is being backed by powerful legal allies. Getting revenge will require him to choose his actions and his allies well. “Beopjjeon” will premiere some time in the first half of 2023.
Lee Da Hee and Choi Siwon
Lee Da Hee and Super Junior’s Choi Siwon will appear together in the upcoming romantic comedy “Icy Cold Romance”. Two long time friends begin to develop romantic feelings for each other after appearing together on a reality dating show. Unfortunately, one of them is the PD, not a dateable contestant. Icy Cold Romance” will premiere in October.
Shin Ye Eun, Lomon, Seo Ji Hoon, Chae Sang Woo, Lee Soo Min, and Jung Soo Bin
Shin Ye Eun, Lomon, Seo Ji Hoon, Chae Sang Woo, Lee Soo Min, and Jung Soo Bin are confirmed to be appearing in the upcoming Disney+ revenge drama “Third Person Revenge”. This teen-centered drama focuses around a young athlete who searches for the cause of her twin brother’s death and seeks revenge on those responsible. “Third Person Revenge” will air in November.
Jung Hae In, Go Kyung Pyo, and Kim Hye Joon
Jung Hae In, Go Kyung Pyo, and Kim Hye Joon will be appearing in the upcoming Disney+ sci-fi thriller “Connect”. Based on a webtoon of the same title, the drama tells the story of a new race of people who have immortal bodies. One of these beings chases after a serial-killer who ends up receiving one of the “connect’s” eyes in a transplant. “Connect” will have 6 episodes and will be premiering in December.
Sung Hoon
Sung Hoon will be starring in the new action drama “My Heart is Beating”. Based on a manhwa by the same name, this drama tells the story of a former gang member who becomes the President of a construction company. His intelligence and fighting skills earn the trust of his boss and make him the perfect employee. “My Heart is Beating” is scheduled to air some time next year.
Cha Eun Woo
Cha Eun Woo will be appearing in the upcoming fantasy romance “A Good Day to be a Dog”. Based on a webtoon of the same title, it follows a young woman who is cursed to turn into a dog every time she kisses a man. Unfortunately, the only person who can break her curse suffered a traumatic experience that makes him terrified of dogs. “A Good Day to be a Dog” will air some time early next year.

Same Scent
ONEUS is lost in their memories in their new single “Same Scent”. The tropical house track is full of groovy rhythmic percussion and heavy synth sounds. The resulting beat is hypnotic and addictive. The MV features the band members in seductive, longing single poses and sultry choreography.
KIM JAE HWAN
BACK THEN
Former WANNA ONE’s KIM JAE HWAN is remembering when love bloomed and died in his new single “BACK THEN”. This R&B rock track features smooth, introverted R&B verses that lead up to a crunchy rock guitar chorus. The MV shows the singer alone in the aftermath of a painful breakup.
LEE CHANGSUB
SURRENDER
BtoB’s LEE CHANGSUB spots a deadly flower among the briars in his new single “SURRENDER”. This synth wave track is driven by a forceful beat and LEE CHANGSUB’s strong vocal skills. For the dark, intense MV, the singer teamed up with dancer and choreographer Hazzi, whose beautiful dancing adds to the dizzyingly hypnotic feel of the song.
OnlyOneOf
Zurui Onna
OnlyOneOf wishes their love a fond farewell in their new Japanese single “Zurui Onna”. The funky R&B track is a remake of a 90’s hit by the Japanese rock group Sharan Q. OnlyOneOf has put their own modern spin that replaces many of the original brass with moody synth. The MV features some rather subdued choreography compared to the groups other videos, but there are still a good number of bare chests to be seen.
KANGTA
Eyes On You
After 17 years, KANGTA is back with a new studio album and the single “Eyes On You”. This smooth R&B track has a seductive, mature vibe as the musician’s vocals glide and weave melodically along. The MV shows him enchanted by a beautiful dancer as he tries to win her heart with his own seductive choreography.

Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist
The historical medical drama “Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist” finished airing on September 6th. A royal physician is forced out of the palace after being accused of conspiring against the royal family. But in a small town outside the capital he meets a new mentor whose medical techniques include healing more than just the physical body. A second season has been confirmed for some time next year.
Little Women
The mystery thriller “Little Women” premiered on September 3rd. The drama is about 3 sisters who grew up in poverty. Their family becomes involved in a scandal involving a large amount of money that leads the 3 women into a fight against one of the wealthiest families in Korea. The story is loosely adapted from the 1868 novel by Louisa May Alcott of the same name.
The Law Cafe
The legal rom-com “The Law Cafe” began airing on September 5th. A hot-headed lawyer leaves her prestigious firm to start a law cafe of her own. But the landlord of her new building turns out to be an old friend from high school. As he helps her get her new business up and running, their friendship is rekindles and new feelings begin to grow between the two of them.
