Ha Sung Woon
On October 24th, former Wanna One’s Ha Sung Woon began his military enlistment. The singer was originally supposed to begin service last month, but was forced to postpone when he caught COVID-19. He will be participating in the army as an active duty soldier. His good friend, BTS’ Jimin, was there to see him off. We wish Ha Sung Woon a safe and speedy return.

Zuho and Park Tae In
SF9’s Zuho, Kim In Sung, and Park Tae In will be starring together in the upcoming BL romance drama “Starstruck”. After holding a public audition, the pair will be joined by 4 rookie actors as well. Based on a webnovel of the same name, the story follows a high school student who finally gets the courage to confess his feelings to his childhood best friend. “Starstruck” began filming on October 19th and will relase a premiere date soon.
Yoo Seung Ho, Kim Dong Hwi and Yoo Su Bin
Yoo Seung Ho, Kim Dong Hwi and Yoo Su Bin have been cast in the upcoming crime thriller “Deal”. Based on a webtoon of the same name, the drama will tell the story of three high school friends who meet up in their 20’s and inadvertantly become swept up in a fake kidnapping scheme. “Deal” will begin filming before the end of the year and should premiere some time in the first half of 2023.

Acid Angel from Asia bursts onto the music scene with their pre-debut sub-unit track “Generation”. This 24 person group will be making their debut soon, but for now we are introduced to the first four in this cool 90’s pop style track. The song has a funky sound that is relaxed and effortless, while at the same time feeling peppy and fun. The MV shows the band as students who leave school and spend the day hanging out together and recording their memories on social media.

DANCE ON
ALICE is feeling out of control in their new single “Dance On”. This energetic dance track features deep bass and bright percussion that seem to propel the song forward in a burst of joy. This group originally debuted under the name Elris, before taking a long hiatus and rebranding themselves for their latest comeback. The MV shows them taking over a tennis court and dancing in front of the recently popular Paradise Diner front.

Tick Tick Boom
CLASS:y gives a dizzying performance in their new single “Tick Tick Boom”. The song is one of two on their newest mini-album. This pop dance track is rhythmic and smooth with lots of room for melodic play. It is cool and confident in its sleekness. The MV tells the story of the band members’ beginnings and the process of their audition.

NCT’s TEN is celebrating in his new single “Birthday”. This all-English R&B track is slinky and seductive, punctuated by icy falsetto. The dreamy quality of the instrumentation gives it a light, floaty feeling. The MV focuses on the performers smooth, creative choreography as he dances against several dark toned backdrops.

The Astronaut
BTS’ Jin pays tribute to his fans and band mates with his new single “Astronaut”. This collab with Cold Play’s Chris Martin is a pop rock track with acoustic guitar and beautiful layered vocals that provide a big stadium sound that is soothing and raw, while still maintaining an upbeat vibe. The MV highlights the musicians acting ability, telling the story of a lonely alien who comes to earth and eventually decides to stay here and make it his home.

Pink Fantasy tells a bizzare story in their new single “Get Out”. This creepy electro-pop track perfectly fits the season with its eerie organ and haunting synths. While the instruments lurch along mechanically, the vocals provide lots of texture and airy melody. The MV relies on spooky settings and trance-like choreography to make the most of this Halloween season.

Youth
Monsta X’s KIHYUN looks back at his younger days in his new single “Youth”. This alt-rock track is melodic and peppy as the percussion keeps a lively pace for the playful, charming melody. The nostalgic feeling of the lyrics gives the song depth and energy that propels us through the quick 3 minute song in a blink. The MV shows the singer trying to find ways to reconnect to the carefree feelings of his youth while accepting his new role as an adult.
