Welcome to the Weekly Update – January 28 – February 3. 2023 is off to a pretty slow start, especially compared to the onslaught of new material at the end of last year. Luckily this is the only week in February that has no new drama news. A couple interesting debuts this week saved us from coming up empty-handed for music news. Seungyeop
E’LAST’s Seungyeop began his military training on January 31st. The artists announced his upcoming enlistment in a person letter to his fans on social media on January 3rd. Seungyeop’s bandmates were all on hand to see him off and the group intends to promote their new music as a 7 member unit until Seungyeop’s release. Stay safe and hurry home, Seungyeop. You will be missed!

Han Ji Hyun
Han Ji Hun will be appearing in the upcoming mystery thriller “Look at Me”. Lee Min Ki will be playing the male lead. This Waave original drama tells the story of a famous plastic surgeon whose reputation becomes tarnished due to his unintential involvement in an unfortunate incident. “Look at Me” will begin filming in March and should air some time later this year.

Song Joong Ki
Actor Song Joong Ki surprised fans earlier this week by announcing that he had registered his marriage with British actress Katy Louise Saunders. The couple is also expecting a baby. Song Joong Ki confirmed their relationship last month, and although there are conflicting stories being reported, it seems that the pair met while the actor was in Europe filming the drama “Vincenzo”. We wish the happy couple many wonderful years together as they build their family.

Rookie group BXB (Boy By Brush) debuted this week with their first official single. 4 of the group’s 5 members were part of the group TRCNG. The musicians have kept some of the former groups original youthful energy and honest ideals. This pop track focus on textured vocals that have an emotional, cinematic feel. The MV shows a group of students as they all vie for the attention of one lucky young lady.
VIVIZ
Pull Up
The former GFriend trio VIVIZ dares you to walk away in their new single “Pull Up”. This upbeat pop track has bits of disco and funk that uses heavy bass and bright brass to give it plenty of sass and attitude. The MV shows the singers hanging out in a convenience store before they each go to some glamorous location.
