GOT the beat
Stamp On It
GOT the beat wants it all in their new single “Stamp On It”. GOT the beat (Girls On Top) is SM Entertainment’s female answer to SuperM. The group is a 7 member sub-unit representing some of the agency’s most talented group, with performers from several popular groups. This dance pop track sprinkles R&B and hip-hop influences into a mix that is fierce and energetic. With so much talent on display, it is obvious that the vocals are powerful, as the lyrics talk about fighting your way to the top. The MV sparkles and glitters with the performers surrounded by expensive jewels and fancy cars.
YENA (ft. BE’O)
Love War
YENA is full of thorny words in her new single “Love War”. This smooth R&B track has a moody, mature sound that compliments her soft, husky vocals. Rapper BE’O lends his charisma to the track, giving it texture and a bit of added tempo. The MV shows a couple whose relationship seems to be falling apart around them, but they feel powerless to do anything about it.
cignature
AURORA
cignature is having a special day in their new single “AURORA”. This chirpy, cheerful pop track relies on cutesy vocals and bright instrumentation to take the listener on a pleasant journey to a world full of positive energy and colorful images. The MV shows the group being transported to a fluffy landscape with glowing lights.
Jinyoung
Cotton Candy
Jinyoung feels so good in his new single “Cotton Candy”. With this title, I expected a bright, overly sweet pop sound. But to my surprise, it is actually a soft pop track with R&B influences. It emphasizes that performers smooth vocals and warm, groovy tones. The MV focuses on choreography that glides across the floor with a certain amount of grace.
