Military News
Dongheon
VERIVERY’s Dongheon began his enlistment on August 28th. The singer will enter basic training and then serve the remainder of his military commitment as an active duty soldier. As the group’s oldest member and leader, Dongheon is the first from the group to enlist. His bandmates were all on hand to send him off with smiles and well-wishes. We also wish Dongheon a safe and speedy return.
Casting News
Kim Myung Soo, Choi Ye Bin, Lee Si Woo, and Yoon Sang Hyun
Kim Myung Soo, Choi Ye Bin, Lee Si Woo, and Yoon Sang Hyun will join Park Ju Hyun, Kim Byung Chul, and Yoon Se Ah in the upcoming thriller drama “Perfect Family”. Based on a webtoon of the same name, an ordinary family goes through a life-changing experience after the daughter’s friend is mysteriously murdered. “Perfect Family” will begin filming in September but has not released a premiere date yet.
Seo Eun Soo
Seo Eun Soo will be joining Lee Je Hoon in the upcoming historical crime drama “Chief Inspector 1963″. A prequel to a famous Korean series that ran in the 70s and 80s, this drama will tell the story of how the famous chief inspector started out as an ambitious young detective and rose through the ranks. “Chief Inspector 1963″ will premiere some time later this year.
Jang Ki Yong And Chun Woo Hee
Jang Ki Yong And Chun Woo Hee will star opposite each other in the upcoming fantasy romance drama “Although I am Not a Hero”. A young man from a family who possess superpowers, loses his abilities after a serious bout of depression. But when a young woman comes to stay with them, he suddenly finds his unhappy life changing for the better. “Although I am Not a Hero” will air some time next year.
Cha Joo Wan, Oh Min Soo, and Cha Woong Ki
Cha Joo Wan, Oh Min Soo, and Cha Woong Ki will star in the upcoming fantasy BL drama “Love Supremacy Zone”. Based on a webnovel of the same name, it tells the story of a 29 year old man with a terminal illness, who wakes up to find himself as a 19 year old high school student living inside a video game. “Love Supremacy Zone” does not yet have a premiere date.
Lee Joo Young
Lee Joo Young will be joining Yoo Seung Ho, Kim Dong Hwi, and Yoo Su Bin in the upcoming crime thriller “Deal”. Based on a webtoon of the same name, it is the story of 3 old friends who meet up after a long time. Desperate to make some money, the trio plan a pretend kidnapping. But their plan spirals and they are faced with serious consequences. “Deal” will premiere in October.

cignature follows their destiny in their new single “Smooth Sailing”. This uplifting pop song is breezy and light, with bursts of bright brass to give it a catchy bounce. While some of ONEWE’s older members are serving in the military, it’s up to the younger members to keep making music. The latest single by the younger sub-unit is called “Salty Boy”. This grungy punk pop track is energetic and catchy. The high percussion and quick paced lyrics keep the song upbeat and fun. The MV shows them hanging out together at a diner called the Roll Cat.

Strat Kids rise up stronger in their new Japanese single “Social Path”. With a little help from friend and rocker LiSA, the group gives us an edgy yet melodic song. The anthemic rocker track features skittering percussion and pumping guitar. The MV shows the group in full rebel mode, as they use their own superpowers to challenge the world.

NU’EST’s BAEKHO puts a fresh spin on the 1990’s Park Jinyoung classic “Elevator”. Giving the track some New Jack Swing brass and mixing in smooth melodies puts a new twist on a song that was already pretty great to start with. But BAEKHO’s new touches feel current and creative. The MV features seductive choreography, as the singer meets a beautiful stranger in an eleveator.
