Park Bo Gum
On April 30th, actor Park Bo Gum was officially discharged from the military. He has been serving with the naval military band since he enlisted in August of 2020. The high-demand performer has already made an official appearance, serving as a host for the Baeksang Arts Awards on May 6th. Fans are eagerly awaiting his next acting role. Welcome home, Park Bo Gum. We missed you!

Nana
Nana will be joining Go Hyun Jung in the upcoming thriller drama “Mask Girl“. The 7 episode drama will be based on a popular webtoon by the same name. Both actresses will be playing the same character, each with their own unique style. The story follows an average woman who works as a “masked” internet sensation at night. “Mask Girl” will air on Netflix next year.
Park Min Young, Go Kyung Pyo, And Kim Jae Young
Park Min Young, Go Kyung Pyo, And Kim Jae Young will be starring together in the upcoming romantic comedy “MonWedFriTuesThursSat”. A helper service offers to find stand-in wives for single people to take to social functions. Each of the men have a long-term contract for specific days to use the service. Park Min Young will play an employee who plays the perfect spouse for their clients. “MonWedFriTuesThursSat” will premiere some time in the second half of this year.

Kwon Sang Woo, Im Se Mi, And Sung Dong Il
Kwon Sang Woo, Im Se Mi, And Sung Dong Il will be appearing together in the upcoming comedy drama “X of Crisis”. This is a Wavve original drama and is based off of a novel called “It Hurts Because I’m a Middle-Aged Man”, and will follow the main character as he suffers financial ruin and tries to start a fresh chapter in life. “X of Crisis” will air some time later this year.
Lee Dong Wook, Kim Bum, Kim So Yeon, and Ryu Kyung Soo
Lee Dong Wook, Kim Bum, Kim So Yeon, and Ryu Kyung Soo have all confirmed their appearance in the upcoming fantasy romance sequel “Tale of the Nine Tailed Season Two”. Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum are reprising their roles from the original drama while Kim So Yeon and Ryu Kyung Soo will playing new roles for this season. “Tale of the Nine Tailed Season Two” will begin some time next year.

Psy is back with his latest single “Celeb”. This particular song has been three years in the making. The bouncy pop track is lively and fun. The MV, featuring former Miss A singer and current actress, Suzy Bae is bright and colorful. It shows the duo at a PSY theme park as they dance to energetic choreography.

But You
iKON sparkles in their new single “But You”. This is the band’s first comeback since the reality TV show “Kingdom” aired last year. This retro synth pop track is full of gliding melody and upbeat energy. The MV is full of flashing lights and bright scenery as the band members sing about winning back the one they love.

The rookie girl group LE SSERAMIN soar in their debut track “I’m Fearless”. The band name is an anagram of their debut title and is produced by Source Music, which is a subsidiary of HYBE Labels. The catchy dance pop track is smooth and subtle. The MV features plenty of choreography and a range of backgrounds, from casual workout areas to glimmering crowns and luxury.

WOOZ gets gritty in his new single “I Hate You”. The punk pop track has boundless energy and strong, suprisingly melodic vocals. Rock guitar drives the tempo at a consistent gallop that bursts with enthusiasm. The MV shows the singer with a full punk band, dancing and performing with a natural charisma that draws you in.

Shut Down
Class is over for rookie girl group CLASS:y in their debut single “Shut Down”. The youthful pop track trots along with a fun intensity as the percussion keeps a steady rhythm. The 7 member group came about from the survival reality show “My Teenage Girl“, which finished airing a few months ago. The MV has the group fighting wild bands of zombies as they dance their way to the center of the city.

On May 1st, the historical drama “The King of Tears, Lee Bang Won” aired it’s finale. The 32 episode drama is the first historical drama produced by KBS in 5 years. Based on a true story, It follows the life of Lee Bang Won, who rose to power amid the crumbling Goseon Era to form the Joseon Dynasty.
A Superior Day
“A Superior Day” finished on May 1st. The psychological thriller is about a firefighter whose daughter is kidnapped by a serial killer. But saving his daughter will require working hand in hand with a dangerous contract killer. Trapped between two criminals, he will try to save his daughter and keep himself alive.
Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) 3
The third season of “Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)” ended on May 1st. The series, which follows 3 women and their turbulent relationships, was originally slated to include three seasons. A fourth season has not been confirmed, but many fans are hoping it will be added.
Bloody Heart
The new historical romance, “Bloody Heart” premiered on May 2nd. Starring Lee Joon Kang Han Na, this drama is a fictional story about a greedy King who will stop at nothing to gain absolute control of the country. But his powerful First Vice-Premiere isn’t ready to step out of the way.
The Sound of Magic
The Netflix fantasy mini-drama “The Sound of Magic” released all 6 episodes on May 6th. A quirky magician takes over an abandoned amusement park to perform magic shows for anyone who truly believes in the power of magic. When a struggling high school student shows up to see one of his shows, her life will be changed forever.
