The Story

Welcome to my Mr. Queen – Unspoiled Review. A modern day chef wakes up in the body of a Joseon queen. Standing at the side of a king who has been painted by history as a failure, he begins to see that there is more to the story. Now he is a laying everything on the line, to help the king gain true power and make a name for himself in the annals of history.

Should I Watch

Mr. Queen is one of those rare dramas that manages to cover a multitude of genres. It is historical, comedy, romance and plenty of drama. It also manages to use comedy to advance the story without being heavy-handed or over-the-top, which I seldom find. The chemistry between the leads is amazing and so fun to watch. If you don’t enjoy sci-fi premises or body switch humor, you may not enjoy this. But honestly, I think this drama has something for everyone. I definitely recommend you give it a try. I give Mr. Queen an 10 out of 10 ramen.
