And as more details of the case come to light, they will find both unexpected allies and enemies.
My Personal Thoughts and Ratings
‘The Price of Confession’ is a gripping crime thriller with deep emotions and a strong, tight story. The cast of characters is complex and engaging and the leads both give chilling performances. Once again, Kim Go Eun shines and Jeon Do Yeon is right there with her. The 12 episode format gives us plenty of time to get to explore the leads, without drawing the story out too long.
But this is a psychological thriller about a sensless and violent murder. The story is not only creepy at times, but also violent. It is intense from start to finish, with no breathers for things like romance or humor. And the complicated secondary characters don’t get nearly enough character development to explain their actions. But if you love a good psychological thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish, I thought this one was very solid. I give ‘The Price of Confession’ a 9 out of 10 ramen.
