Including the constant presence of her neighbor and childhood friend, who is now a handsome and talented architect with an office right in their old neighborhood.
And as she struggles to get a fresh start, despite the pressure from her family to go back to the U.S., she will find herself turning to her old friend for support and encouragement. Personal Insights
My Thoughts on 'Love Next Door'
‘Love Next Door’ is a Netflix slice of life drama about two childhood friends who are reunited after 10 years of being apart. The leads have great chemistry and verbal rapport and the secondary characters are well-developed. The family dynamics give the drama heart without limiting the focus to entirely romantic, and the secondary couple is adorable.
But this drama is not the light-hearted rom-com that it might look like at first glance. This one is a slow-burn romance, for those that enjoy an emotional rollercoaster. The angst can be a bit heavy-handed and the characters feel kind of irrational and immature at times. But these leads are two of my favorites and I enjoyed the touching journey. I give ‘Love Next Door’ a 8 out of 10 ramen.
