Music News
ATBO
Must Have Love
ATBO is creating unforgetable memories in their new single “Must Have Love”. This bright, seasonal winter track is actually a remake of the 2006 version released by Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga In and SG Wannabe’s Kim Yong Joon. Bright brass and twinkling sleigh bells give the song all the holiday feels. The MV shows the group dancing and playing in the snow.
DINO
Wait
SEVENTEEN’s DINO is looking for harmony in his new mix tape solo single “Wait”. This sleek R&B style track combines jazz with glitch to create a unique, modern blend. Piano and plucky percussion give the song a rhythmic beat while the vocals glide smoothly over the top. The MV shows the singer take a number to wait his turn, but he decides to take to the streets for some dancing instead of sitting around.
TAEYEON
To. X
Girls’ Generations’s TAEYEON isn’t having fun anymore in her new title track “To. X”. This mid-tempo R&B track combines rich guitar strums with TAEYON’S icy crisp lyrics and atmospheric synth to create a rhythmic melody. The lyrics and MV both point to a woman who feels trapped in a toxic relationship and her desire to break free.
NAM WOO HYUN
Baby Baby
INFINITE’s NAM WOO HYUN croons to his sugar, sugar in his first solo album, with the single “Baby Baby”. Along with his first solo album, the singer announced that he has been battling cancer. Thankfully he seems to be on the road to recovery, and that makes this upbeat 80’s pop holiday song all the more precious. While the singer says that his voice is not yet back to 100%, the velvety tones in this song feel warm and smooth. The playful MV shows the singer’s natural charm as he tries to win a beautiful stranger’s heart.
&TEAM
Dropkick
&TEAM is running toward the future in their re-release of the Japanese b-side “Dropkick”. This cool pop track has stabbing 80’s style synths and clapping percussion to build a big, anthemic sound. The MV takes all of this building energy to highlight crisp choregraphy, as the group appears at a soccer stadium and a carwash.
DKB
What The Hell
DKB is walking on their way in their new single “What The Hell”. Having recently lost a band member who was involved in an unfortunate drunk driving incident, the group proves they’re back and stronger than ever with this release. This hip-hop dance track uses aggressive rap and synth bass style to create a high-energy song with plenty of attitude. The MV shows the band dancing on an urban rooftop.
ATEEZ
Crazy Form
ATEEZ puts their ego into the show in their new single “Crazy Form”. This pounding dance track is full of the loud, agressive lyrics, chaotic instrumentation, and swag that the group has come to be known for. Tinny percussion and vocal effects give the song a dynamic feel that resonates with the shouty vocals. The MV shows the group as agents of piratey chaos, as they fight against the hooded villains in a futuristic world.
