Should I Watch
“Anna” is a suspense drama about a woman who claims someone else’s identity. First, let me say, don’t make the same rookie mistake I did by watching the original version rather than the Extended Director’s Cut. It’s only 2 extra episodes, but it definitely helps with character development. This drama covers many years in 8 short episodes, but still manages to feel very slow-paced I wouldn’t recommend it if you like something with constant action and quick moving dialogue. But if heavy, character driven melodrama is your thing, this one is excellent. It is quietly poignant and philosophical. The cast is outstanding, with three of its stars recently nominated for 2023 Baeksang Arts Awards. I give “Anna” an 8 out of 10 ramen.
