The Story
A lawyer more known for his losses than his legal skills is framed as a notorious crime boss, Big Mouse, and sent to prison. In the beginning, he is eager to prove his innocence and get released, but as time goes on, he realizes that convincing everyone that he is Big Mouse is his best shot at staying alive. Secretly he continues to try to discover the true identity of the criminal mastermind, with the help of his family and friends on the outside. This support team is led by his wife, who trusts him, even when all the evidence seems to work against him. Danger lurks around every corner, as they try to expose the truth about Big Mouse and his circle of powerful supporters. They will need to be extremely careful if they expect to stay one step ahead of the corruption at the root of this case.
Should I Watch
“Big Mouth” is a legal action drama that is exciting and unpredictable. The cast is really great, the concept is daring and creative, and the plot twists will keep you guessing right up until the end. Unfortunately this creativity led the writers to loose control of some of the plots in the second half of the series, causing several glaring plot holes and wasted characters. If you like suspense and are willing to keep your focus on the lead character and his story, this one is a great watch. And being told to just keep your eyes on Lee Jong Suk for 16 episodes is hardly a hardship. But if you are haunted by loose threads and dead-end stories, this one may be disappointing at times. I give “Big Mouth” a 8 out of 10 ramen.
